WordPress.org vs. .com

  I tried to set up a WordPress.org site, but somehow I have a WordPress.com site. I need help creating it, but I’m reluctant to move forward because it’s on .com instead of .org. Does anyone know what I should do? Oh…I also purchased a theme and would like to use that. Will my theme also work on WordPress.org?

  WordPress.org is the free software you use to create either a WordPress site hosted elsewhere or one hosted here at WordPress.com. The extension for the domain you purchase here or elsewhere is something you choose. Themes destined for use here at WordPress.com (mostly) can’t be transferred to sites hosted elsewhere.
  What is the address of your new site? Where is it hosted? What is the theme you purchased and can you confirm where you purchased it from?
