Hi, I have a website and blog through WordPress.org with third party hosting. I can’t afford the hosting anymore. Can I use WordPress.com for free and keep the domain name of my website and all of the content? Thanks!

Hi there,
The content you can keep for free by exporting it from your self-hosted website then import it to your WordPress.com site. Learn more: https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/
In terms of the domain, you’ll need to purchase a paid plan in order to transfer a custom domain to WordPress.com. If you don’t do this, your web address will have “.wordpress.com” in it rendering your custom domain pointless. The good news is that WordPress.com plans are a lot cheaper than most hosting providers though, and you can compare them here: https://wordpress.com/pricing
