  I’m looking to purchase the personal plan, but need to know if my .ie domain name is available. I’ve checked elsewhere and it seems to be. Will I be able to get this .ie domain through wordpress?

  Hello there,

  According to this support document (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/), seems like .ie is not on the list.

  If you’re not able to register the .ie domain through WordPress.com, another way is to register the domain at another domain registrar then map the domain to your WordPress.com site. However, that would mean you have to pay both the domain registrar for the domain and WordPress.com for the hosting of your site.

  Hi there,

  We do not support registration of .ie domain. To use that domain on WordPress.com you’ll need to buy it somewhere else, and then connect it to your site using the domain mapping upgrade instead.
