  • Hi –

Are you working on a post or a page? Can you share more details please.

Thanks Liz. I am working on a web page. I want to design my own using wordless PIQUE. The poster has seats ditto it is compatible for him to upload.

I have basic IT skills but lots of ad agency experience in the 90’S! So to me its creative. and I want to be able to tinker with my site.

But I seem to have a block and grind it hard to work on the template.

I want to be able to change font. font size. etc etc.

Thanks. Thanks so much. at some point Ill just have to admit defeat and pay someone…seems silly. I think one I know, I can have some creative fun.

    Lisa.

  • Hi Lisa,

To change font and font size for your site you need to be in the Customizer. Click on My Sites, then click the Customize button next to Themes. Then click on Fonts. There you can select a font for headings and for the body text on your site, and once you select a font you’ll also be able to select a size.

On the Free and Personal plans you have a selection of Google fonts you can use, and on Premium and Business a selection of Typekit fonts are added to the list.

    Custom Fonts

It’s not possible to import any fonts that are not listed there.

For more precise control over font size in different areas and to move elements around on the page from where your theme has them positioned, you need to use custom CSS, and that’s only available in the Premium and Business plans. You can find some more information on how custom CSS work here:

Thanks so much for this lovely response. I actually have hired someone to design my site. Maintaining it will be my pleasure. I’m an older woman and it was too clunky a beast for me to tame. New skills I was resistant to learn.

  • The oldest person I’ve helped via these forums was 90 years old when they started building their first website, so you’re in good company. Learning new things keeps the brain young, I think :)

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
