WordPress site plan was a Business plan but has reverted back to the Free plan after migrating

When you migrate a wordpress.com site to another hosting provider, you don’t keep the wordpress.com Business Plan as this is only valid on the wordpress.com platform.
By moving your site to Cloudflare, you are self-hosted meaning you are on your own and you have to manage everything on your site yourself, including solving problems.

I migrated my wordpress.org site to wordpress.com with a business plan. but after migrating it my wordpress.com business plan reverted to free plan.

Hey there,
While your site still has a Business plan, it was disconnected from Jetpack during the transfer. I was able to successfully reconnect Jetpack to your site, so you should be all set! Please take a look and let us know if you run into any other issues.
If anyone else happens to come across this post having similar issues, take a look at our help page here to reconnect Jetpack:

Hi, thank you for your response and thank you for reconnecting my website to jetpack as I have checked it was successful but there was a slight issue that is bothering me, when I checked the upgrades tab on the sidebar it still displays that the plan is free

-
Thanks @ictueccdcouncil – I can think of a few possible issues.
If you click Switch Site, do you see a second site there with the same name? I’m wondering if we need to disconnect the previous site so it’s less confusing.
Also, since you have a Business Plan, you’re welcome to reach out via chat if you prefer. You can do that here: https://wordpress.com/help/

Hi @supernovia, Yes I see a second site with the same name. Is there something I need to do on my end?
Thank you for your response. -
Hey there,
I’m actually not seeing a free plan – but the WordPress.com Business plan… so you may be seeing something that’s been cached.
That said, @supernovia is correct, we should disconnect the old site to make things less confusing. To check, do you still have access to this at the other provider?
This will help determine our next steps.
Many thanks!

Hi, Yes it’s good now I can see the business plan display on the upgrades tab and it may have been cached at that time.
About the sites I am seeing two sites here. I agree that the old site must be disconnected because until now I am confused. What do you mean by access with the other provider? -
Hey there,
Awesome! I’m glad you’re seeing that. :)
So there’s two sites – one with WordPress.com, and an installation at the old host (otherwise known as the self-hosted version).
The self-hosted site could still be running, albeit under a different URL and have Jetpack installed an connected.
If you’re able to access that – and delete Jetpack, this would remove the old connection. It may be good practice to tie up that lose end in any case.
Failing that, we can disconnect the connection for you – but it’s better that you attempt to do that. We see a lot of phantom connections and “lost” sites with other providers.
I hope this helps!

Hi,
I’m seeing this in the tabs when I click switch site.
and when I click the warning icon it will display this.

I’m confused on what site should I delete, because whenever I click “I’d like to fix this now” it redirects me to the general settings of the site below with (Coming Soon). I don’t know if I should delete that site or no?
Thanks for the help in advance <3

Hi there,
Are you able to access your old site (the one that says it cannot be accessed) through your previous host? If you can do that, we can then disconnect it for you and then proceed with the migration.
-
I went ahead and disconnected that site from your WordPress.com account. Now you should only see your current site, which is hosted with us.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.
-
Thank you for that, but I notice that whenever I go from plugins page to installed plugins page there is a change in the URL and I can still see the previous website.
From this
to this.

You can notice that coming soon will be gone after clicking the “Installed plugins” button and also the logo will appear which is from the previous site.
-
@ictueccdcouncil that image second image is still from the new site. You can tell because you’ve got several plugins being “managed by host.”
Also, you might have a few emails about a login. That was me checking; you can disregard those.Let us know if you have more questions!
-
@ictueccdcouncil – actually, there do seem to be other problems still. Jetpack isn’t connecting properly to the site on our servers, and that’s causing trouble.
Can you clarify what you’re hoping to do?
-
-
How can I fix those plugins that are managed by the previous host?
Also Is there anyway for me to check that the jetpack is not connected properly?
Thanks!

How can I fix those plugins that are managed by the previous host?
You don’t need to fix anything. Those plugins are managed by us (current host), not your previous host. We automatically handle updates for those plugins, so you don’t have to worry about anything.
Also Is there anyway for me to check that the jetpack is not connected properly?
I checked your Jetpack connection and it works. If you get any issues, you’ll see a warning message in your dashboard.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.
