Trying to be able to view images with audio. WordPress.com hosts our domain and we upgraded to a premium account believing that we would have more options. The wide array of plug-ins are not available. Is there any way around this? Do we need to upgrade to business/VIP even though we don’t need all the bells and whistles… just want an audio with image player.

WordPress.com is a shared hosting environment and it’s not possible to install plugins here, even with a plan. Plugins can only be installed on sites hosted elsewhere running off the free software available at WordPress.org. WordPress.com does have a lot of built-in features and there’s a good chance the feature you’re looking for is already here. For example, you’re able to upload audio files to your Media Library and embed them directly to your posts/pages, as described here:
Additionally, WordPress.com Premium comes with VideoPress, which allows you to upload and host your own videos. This is just one of a few options for including videos on your site, outlined in this guide:
