WordPress Plugins

  Hi There,
  I have looked up many tutorials on how to install wordpress plugins, but I have one significant road block in my way: There is no “Plugins” option on the administrative section of my site. Is this something that you need to pay extra for?

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

  What features in particular were you looking for?

  I’m looking for the “Custom Field Images” form in particular

  The closest we have to that on WordPress.com is featured images, and those are used in a few select themes.

  If you want complete control of the code and the ability to customize and add plugins, switching to WordPress.org is the way to go. This page talks more about the differences: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
