WordPress Plugins: For a Beginner
-
I want to disable right clicking on my wordpress blog. I have a free one now.
What upgrade do I need to purchase to disable right click/downloading?Also, do I need to hire a host (if so what host, go daddy? etc) and download the wp software?
I am a beginner so the more instruction the better.
I appreciate your help!

Hi there,
There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/See here for a full comparison WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.com and WordPress.ORG have different logins.
If you use the Duotone theme right click is disabled. It’s not available on any other themes here and will not become available as it creates a false sense of security. Anyone can find instructions on the internet and get around it in less than 20 seconds flat. What’s best is watermarking your images or not placing any images and/or text you don’t want stolen on the internet at all. If you are referring to images this may help http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/19/watermark-your-blog-images/
