WordPress poll widget in the future?

  Will WordPress be adding a polling widget anytime in the near future? I currently have a couple of blogs on the wordpress platform and have a great need for a polling widget. I have used many of the suggested 2nd party polling widgets suggested and they seem to be band aids and not solutions.

  Most features are really not known until they are released, but unless a staff member comments on this post, it might not be for awhile if it is considered.

  There are several outside widgets that do a really good job. My personal favorite is SodaHead’s WordPress Poll Widget .

  SodaHead’s poll widget is a javascript poll and is not allowed at wordpress.com due to security concerns.

  Yeah, i would also like to know why we, users, still don’t have the chance to use a poll widget in our blogs.

  Is it so hard for the programmers to create one? The second party polls suck and few of them work, because they are mostly javascripts.

  So, we’re all waiting for the answers….
