WordPress Post Revisions

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I had a few questions regarding the WordPress revisions editor – Any assistance would be great.

    1. How can I make it more user friendly, e.g not display changes in HTML
    2. Is there a way I can make changes not alter the last edited date of the article? This would only not change if the user selects a checkbox in the post.

    Regards,
    Ben

  • Hi Ben,

You wouldn’t be able to modify how the editor works here on WordPress.com. Since I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account, though, I understand that you’re working on a WordPress site hosted elsewhere or locally.

To get help with those, it’s best to post directly at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
