WordPress post to Facebook
-
I cannot get this wordpress post: https://maryww.wordpress.com/2015/03/29/you-must-never-put-down-your-pen-by-john-degen/ to post the right image to Facebook. Facebook chooses the 3rd (!) widget image (not the first, not the second, not the header) and gives me two other incorrect images as options. I want the image of John Degen. After reading your forums, I changed the size of the image Facebook insists on showing (3rd widget: Success After 60) so that it is smaller. Then I increased the size of the image of John Degen so that it is above the lower limit for images accepted by Facebook (it is now 250 x 227). Then I set John’s image as the “featured image” for this post. But it STILL shows the Success After 60 image. I even shut down WordPress, Facebook, the browser and the computer. No improvement. Then I tried uploading the image of John Degen directly to Facebook from by desktop then adding a link to the blog post and the blog post doesn’t show up on facebook, just the http link.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Mary,
Those changes should definitely help, but since a shared was attempted before, we just have to ask Facebook to clear their previously stored information in favor of the new settings.
I’ve run your URL through their object debugger here:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
It initially showed this:
After having it scrape new information, it shows this:
I tested it out myself just to be sure:
So if you’ll refresh any tabs you have Facebook still open in, the share will work correctly now. :)
