WordPress Premium and ready made templates?

Hi!
I’m starting an online magazine and I’m doing it here on WordPress, so as you can understand I was looking into buying the Premium service!
I wanted to use this template:
…what I don’t understand is how it works with the Premium? Do I still have to buy both the template and the Premium service? And can I still personalise the template even if it’s ready made (Premium offers the possibility to customise it)?

We cannot use themes from the internet on WordPress.com. Themes for use here have been specially adapted to work with this platform. You can view them here:

http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/subjects/magazine/The premium upgrade still means you are hosted here on WordPress.com. If you need that specific theme, then you’ll need to use WordPress.ORG. Here are details about the differences:

That’s not possible. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot upload any third party themes, create child themes or our own themes or edit templates.

Keep in mind that you are still hosted here for free on WordPress.com; it’s kind of like a street sign which points your readers to where your site actually is: Your real address might be 555 main street, but people visiting you see it as “My Great Magazine.” -
Yes, those are the themes we can use here! The only themes we can use here. Some are free, some you buy. And if you decide later to move to WordPress.ORG, then you’ll have to purchase a different version because our wp.com themes won’t work on wp.org.

One last thing:
You may find that you don’t need all the features in the premium bundle useful: are you going to have videos? The 3GB of storage is enough space for thousands and thousands of properly compressed photos, so you may not need that, especially as you are just starting out.
You can pick and choose which upgrades you need; the bundle saves money but only if it includes things you’ll use. -

When you purchase a domain nothing changes except the URL.
Are you clear about that?

and @1tess thank you so much for pointing out that I may not need all the things in the Premium bundle! You might be right.
Right now, I think all I need for a start is:
A design that I can customise whatever it costs
A .com domain name $18
Remove all ads $30….so if I can customise the templates in the Premium bundle, then maybe it makes sense after all? Because if you see the above, I’ll be spending the same money?
I don’t really understand how the choosing of a template works with Premium: do I just choose from ALL themes, even those aren’t free?
Let’s say I want to use the Delicious Magazine theme (I might!) that costs $75, and I have Premium. Is that $99+$75 or is the cost of the template included in the Premium bundle?
I don’t think I’ll be moving to wordpress.org as I need a .com address.
I will not sell things directly from the site and don’t need an e-commerce platform: it’s just a magazine.

Even the basic blog here can choose from ANY theme here, no restrictions. Some themes are free, some are one time charge.
Premium Themes have a 30 day refund time frame if you don’t like it
The only thing the $ 299.– bundle gets you is the ability to try the Premium themes as quickly and move from one to another at any time – but you will still only be able to use one theme at a time

ok I’ve read some guides and @1tess you were right – I don’t need all the things in the Premium bundle.
I think I’ll go for a magazine theme (a paid one, one of the ones here: http://theme.wordpress.com/), a $18 .com domain and the $30 remove all ads fee. I think I’ll be saving money that way.

Also keep in mind that many themes have quite a bit of built in custom features, so you can change the colors and looks without any extra cost.

many people get worried about the looks of their blog and spend tons of time changing the looks of the site and not blogging – I don’t think anyone visits a site “because it looks way cool” – they go for the content – but you can mess up a theme and the way a blog works and drive visitors away
