wordpress premium inquiry

    Hey pro bloggers,

    I am really confused at the moment, just upgraded to premium and i am new to all this. I thought upgrading would allow me to install plugins but just realized i cant. I didnt want to loose all my content and theme to move web host initially, hence why i stuck with WP.

    But now, i don’t know what to do if i want to place ads or include other functions into my site such as newsletter sign ups. Nor do i know how to edit and change the existing templates so i can fully customize my site. I am a noob, so i need help with pretty much everything regarding to making my blog more professional and business-friendly.

    So my question are;

    1.) Is it better to stick with WP and go find another web host so i can DL my content to the new host?

    2.) If not what are my options?

    3.) Do people usually have to open both account on WP and new web host to make the best website?

    4.) What are the potential of staying with WP Premium?

    Would be grateful to hear some advice,

    I’d advise reading up on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
    This will help you understand what can be achieved with each.

    The great advantage about WP.com Premium is that you don’t have to worry about keeping your WordPress updated and other backend tweaks. With WP.com you can more easily focus on creating content. The only tweaking allowed is with the CSS (appearance of the blog).

    If you need to use plugins, then you’ll definitely want to go the WP.org route, which has its own support community as well https://wordpress.org/support/.
