WordPress Premium trial not working
-
To Whom This May Concern,
I signed up for the 14-day WordPress Premium trial but it is not working on my account. When I tried to map the WordPress blog to my company website, I was asked to pay–is this feature not included in the trial?
Best,

Hi there, I entered your site (hitlistblog.wordpress.com) to assist, but it looks as if you’ve deleted it. If you were referring to another WordPress.com site, please let me know. Thanks so much.

We deleted ‘hitlistblog.wordpress.com’ since we were trying to use the address ‘hitlistapp.wordpress.com’, but whichever one you can setup for the Premium trial should work, since we want to map our own domain to it.
Let me know if you can fix this easily. We would like to use WordPress, but want to first do a trial to make sure we can set everything up (custom domain/theme, etc.) before paying for it.
Thanks.

Hi there, Site deletion is permanent, so I cannot retrieve that blog.
If you have another WordPress.com site, you can add the Premium trial once again.
Because of the system in which your domain must be registered and mapped, you will be asked to purchase these separately from the free trial. At the end of the trial, you can:
A) remain with WordPress.com and keep your Premium upgrade…you will pay the balance remaining;
B) remain with WordPress.com, keep your domain name and mapping, but choose to get rid of the rest of the Premium package at no cost;
C) keep your custom domain name, but map it to your site on a different host’s server
D) cancel everything and you will be refunded for your domain name.If you have any questions about this, please do let me know. Thanks so much!

So can you activate the premium trial on our blog hitlistapp.wordpress.com? Or do you recommend we create a whole new account? (I’d rather not though, since that is how we got into this mess).
Also, are you saying that with a Premium trial, the domain mapping won’t be included? Is that not part of the premium account? If I understood correctly, are you saying that even with a premium trial accounts, we will have be asked to pay for the domain mapping, how much will we owe in total after the trial ends?

Hello there!
Your site, hitlistapp.wordpress.com, can absolutely be used. It’s only your deleted site, hitlistblog.wordpress.com, which is no longer accessible.
If you were to purchase the Premium upgrade, the domain registration and mapping would be included. If you decide to use this upgrade, it will cost $99 US total.
If you sign up for the Premium Trial and decide to register and map a custom domain name, you will be charged $18 US ($5 for registration, $13 for mapping). If you decide not to keep the Premium upgrade, you won’t pay anything extra. If you decide to keep the upgrade, you will be charged $81, which is $99 minus $18.
You are welcome to do the entire Trial without adding a custom domain. This way, if you decide not to keep any of the Premium package, you won’t have paid for a domain name. All the rest of the features will be accessible to you for free. Once the trial ends, if you keep the package, you will be charged $99 and you can register your domain name at any time.
If you choose to try the Premium upgrade for hitlistapp.wordpress.com, just click Store in your site’s Dashboard and launch your trial.
I hope this clears things up! I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have before/during/after your trial period. Thanks so much.
