WordPress Presentation – Not mobile compatible!

    Hi all,

I have been using WordPress’s new short code feature to build editable presentations that sit within a page. https://en.support.wordpress.com/presentations/

Having completed several presentations I have now discovered that not only are they NOT mobile responsive but also don’t even display on mobile devices despite using HTML 5 technology.

Does anyone know if it is possible to:
    A. Make the slider text show when viewing from a mobile device (slide text is placed between the short codes).
    B. Make transitioning between slides responsive (or even just got the ‘next slide’ arrows to work).
    C. Make the actual presentation size fluid so it resizes depending on the screen size you are viewing it from.

I have checked WordPress’s presentations example page on a mobile device and has the same issues so I know its not a theme compatibility problem. Also there is no existing support for this as far as I could find.

    Many thanks

    Hello there,

http://citizenclick.co.uk/ is NOT hosted by WordPress.COM and our support documentation does not apply to it. citizenclick.co.uk is hosted by Unified Layer

We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

    Hi Timethief,

I do apologise, the last line of my message ‘The blog I need help with is..’ was automatically added when sent the message and not added by my self.

The website I actually needed help with is a wordpress.com hosted site but chose not to include a link to it as the slides in question are not publicly visible due to the issues stated above. As the presentation short code feature does not work on WordPress.com’s own example page I presumed this issue is across the board and not just on my friends site that I’m working on.

Due to the lack of cross compatibility and support for the WordPress inbuilt ‘presentation’ feature I will now work towards making the wordpress.com site in question self hosted so I can use one of the many number of third party presentation plugins available.

    Thank you for your time.
