  Hi,
  icon + text button didn’t work properly either: on some posts I could see doubled numbers or decreased or 0 so I switched it back to official fb icon. At least now it is correct on posts published since mid Nov till now. Any chance to bring the older ones back?

  Hi @budapeszter,

  If you switch back to the Icon + Text, is the sharing number correct for all older posts, but not for more recent posts? Or, is the sharing number wrong for all posts when you switch to Icon + Text?

  Hello- I’m jumping in on this to see if you could help me with my blog page as well. I tried reading through this to understand what might have happened and what I should do… All of a sudden all of my facebook ‘likes’ on all of my posts went to zero. Some had over 200 likes and then are now at zero. This is how I measure my self worth so if you could help me fix it, that would be great. ;) -Kaitlin

  As mentioned earlier, we are having some issues with Facebook sharing numbers. I’m keeping this thread updated as soon as we have a resolution!

  Hi @anitalindelien and everyone else,

  This should be cleared up now provided you’re using anything but the official share buttons. The “Text + Icon” option should work. You can change that under Settings -> Sharing as shown here:

  Once you’ve done that, grab a version of the post that’s having trouble and run it through the Facebook debugger here:

  https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

  Once you enter the URL, click “Fetch new scrape information.” Can you give that a try?

  If you still have trouble, can you reply back here with the URL of the post that you tried and the expected share number for that post?

  Hi. Thank you soo much . They are all back and i didn’t have to debug it on facebook. . It was simply changing to text+icon that did it :) Thank you!!! :)
