WordPress prompt or hacker?

Why am I getting this prompt when using WordPress on my Mac: ‘Allow this website to use space on your disk… to store Calypso…’ Is this a WordPress prompt, or a hacker? And why am I getting this? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am having the exact same problem. WordPress, why are you silent on this issue? Definite hacker, I always refuse, but it comes up over and over again. Very annoying!

Hi folks, this isn’t a hacker. I am not sure why your browser is prompting for this (most browsers don’t), but we do need to be able to download some of the code so that everything will run quickly for you.

@composerinthegarden It is. You can read about it here: https://ma.tt/2015/11/dance-to-calypso/

So I allowed the use of space a few weeks ago, now it’s asking for more space– 50mb this time. The stupid popup won’t allow me to use the site, it just keeps coming back every time I deny it, so fast that it’s hard to even close out of the program at all….!

Hmm, it shouldn’t be re-prompting, as far as I’m aware, @kirkhsmith . From what I understand, it should ask if it can use local storage rather than asking for a specific amount and asking for more.
You might try clearing your storage and re-authorizing it to see if that helps. Also if you can let us know what browser you’re using, we can try to find out more about why it’s nagging you like that. Thanks!

Thanks @kirkhsmith, can you clear your local storage then allow the prompt through once more, and see if it continues to prompt you after that?
