WordPress read more tag?

    How do you insert a read more tag onto a wordpress post?

    When I insert mine where I want the cut-off point to be, it simply comes up with an ellipsis. It does not have a ‘read more here’ link.

    Your site does not seem to be a free wordpress.com site, but a self-hosted wordpress.org install. This support forum is only for free wordpress.com blogs. WordPress.com and wordpress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
