  The featured image does not sure in WP Reader but the video does.
  Does video overtake the image in reader or how can I prevent this and use the image I would like to display in reader.

  The post is called The End of Oud.
  While the video is relevant it is not as enticing as the featured image.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I don’t have an answer to your question so I’m tagging it for a Staff response and have bookmarked the thread so I take note of the answer they provide.

  ASIDE: It’s my personal preference that neither images nor videos appear in the blogs I follow stream in the Reader. I don’t want or need them, or tags, categories, the like button or the reblog button either. All I need and want is the permalinked titles to post published in the last 72 hours on the blogs I follow.

  Apologies for getting back to you so late.

  When a post that has the Standard, Aside, Link, Quote, or Status post format contains a video or audio embed, that embed is pulled out and used in the Reader.

  If the post has the Gallery or Image post format, a video or audio embed in that post would not be used in the Reader – one or more images would be used instead.
