WordPress Reader conversations access through laptop
-
Hi Adam, sorry I couldn’t answer in time and now the conversation is closed. This is the link to our last exchange: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/answers-cannot-be-accessed/#post-4062375
I see the same message when accessing the WordPress Reader through my laptop. I get into my site, click on the bell to have a look at the notifications, I see the conversations and click on one of them and I see “Post unavailable. Sorry, we can’t display that post right now “. I can’t access conversations through my laptop, even the former one I linked. I just can do it through the jetpack app on my smartphone, actually it is quite annoying.
The link to the conversation you asked for is https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/change-currency-199/#post-3978929
I would be glad if conversations, and advices, could be accessed as earlier through the reader as I usually do through my laptop, and ask and write through it. Thank you!
Sergio

Hi Sergio,
Thanks for sharing more details about this for us! I was able to reproduce the same issue on my own account, so it seems this may be an unexpected bug. I’ve escalated this issue to our development team for further investigation. We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention!
Aside from using the Jetpack app to view forum replies, you may also have luck with opening the forum reply link in a new browser tab/window. After opening your notifications from the bell icon and clicking on a forum reply notification, you can right click on the link to the forum thread to open it in a new tab (or ctrl/cmd + click). This should open the forum thread itself so you can view the response and reply as needed.
Let us know if there was anything else you still needed some help with. :)

Thank you very much, staff-papyrus!
Yes, it opens right-clicking, that’s great. And yes, there is something I hope you can help with. I was looking for a link that aleone89 shared with me in an older conversation, to make my blog multilingual without installing plugins. It was https://wordpress.com/support/tutorials/simple-multilingual-site-tutorial-using-blocks-no-plugins/, but it looks it is no longer available.
In my original post (https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/answers-cannot-be-accessed/#post-4062375) I had written that “The advices given in “https://wordpress.com/support/set-up-a-multilingual-blog/” don’t look like working for my site. Thank you! / The blog I need help with is: analisemusical.wordpress.com“
So, finally: I would like to make the above mentioned blog multilingual, aleone89 had linked to me a solution to it, but that link doesn’t exist anymore. Would it be possible to do it yet? Does it need to be a new blog? Does it need another kind of membership?
Thank you in advance!

It does look like that older tutorial was retired a while back, as it was fairly outdated and it wasn’t particularly useful anymore.
The advice we share in Set Up a Multilingual Site are currently our two main recommendations for that: either creating one site per language, or using a plugin (available with either the Business or Commerce plan). Plugins for translations or multilingual functionality can provide additional features, like seamless switching between languages on a single site, which generally aren’t possible otherwise.
If the Business plan is outside your budget for you, you can create a second site to act as a translated copy of your main site. If the sites use the same overall design and have similar names, and you include links on each site back to the other site, that may work as a way to allow your visitors to switch between languages.
Otherwise, you can always create copies of each of your site’s pages and posts in multiple languages! You can get creative with categories and/or page attributes to organize content from each language as you see fit.
