WordPress recovery mode
-
After my website was automatically updated to 6.2, I could not access the admin page to log in. How can I get a special recovery mode to safely log in to my dashboard and investigate further?

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Can you please change the WordPress of my website back to the previous version and without auto-update?

Hi there!
Thanks for sharing the link to your site. We are unable to help with this because your site isn’t actually hosted by us at WordPress.com. You are using the open-source version called WordPress.org, and the site is hosted by a different hosting service provider (stablehost).
There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.
We can help with WordPress.com sites in this forum. Since your site isn’t hosted by us, you have two options:
- You can contact your hosting service provider for help. They may have the option to restore to an earlier version.
- You can also post on the WordPress.org support forum, where you can get help from the WordPress.org community.
As your site runs on WordPress.org, we recommend using Jetpack Backup, which gives you automated backups with one-click restores. With Jetpack Backup active on your site, you would be able to restore or rewind your site to an earlier point in cases like this.
Regards
