WordPress replaced my email with an old bluehost defunct email, lost wordpress
-
Thankfully, One of my browsers was still logged in. I created this WordPress 2-3 weeks ago using a personal email yet, When I sign in, it says I have “zero” blogs. When i bring up the browser which’d is already logged in, it is the same exact account that says I have two created blogs, and that my email is a defunct Bluehost email which is not possible. When I go into account on the logged in site, it says my social connected is the email i used to create this website, yet when I sign in with that email, zero sites. I don’t even know what to say. WordPress literally just stole a site from me for no reason and is now telling me that I never created it. I have all the pictures below to prove this insanity. The first set is the prelogged in browser which proves I made this site. Anyone can look up this blog was made in less than a month but that email is bluehost email defunct and was not used to make it as I do not have access to even sign in with that email. The second set is when I log in using my email used to create the wordpress. Same exact account, zero blogs.
I used my personal email to make this wordpress and for some reason wordpress did not take that into account and instead send all the information to a defunct email, and no longer has any affiliation with the email i used to create it. Its insanity. This is the second time this has happened. I make websites for people and am seriously think about going somewhere else as the only way to get direct support is to “pay”. Id be PAYING if your website functioned correctly instead of just stealing peoples work from them.

When I tried to change email from the defunct bluehost, it says EMAIL ALREADY TAKEN. well duh, its the same email I used TO CREATE THIS WORDPRESS. WHAT IS GOING ON.
I log out of this browser I will forever lose access to the WordPress I just created and already put hours into. How can you even create a wordpress using a defunct email this is insanity.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Instead of spinning a story, if you had followed the answer you got already said 3 weeks ago – https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/lost-a-couple-emails-and-one-was-for-my-wp/ – you are simply logged in to the wrong (an over 3 years old) account. But it seems you never followed up.
The email address is the unique identifier on the wordpress.com platform meaning two wordpress;com accounts can’t have the same email address
Log out from current and log in again with the email address you used to creat your other account owning your ‘missing’ site.

Hi there, to summarize the issue, in case others run into it:
- You have two accounts.
- One account has your blog, but it’s using an email you didn’t intend to use
- The other account has no blogs, but it’s using the email that you do intend to use.
In order to swap out the email addresses on the accounts, you need to:
- Log into the blank account with the correct email and change the account email to a different email address in order to free up the correct email for use elsewhere!
- Once that account is correctly saved with the different email address, it’s best to delete that blank account so you don’t accidentally log into it again.
- In the account with your blog, you will now be able to change it to use the intended email, since it has been freed up in step one.
It’s correct that “The email address is the unique identifier on the WordPress.com platform” and this is why you have to free up the correct email address for use on the correct account.

Hi staff, this forum thread was tagged with “remove personal info” Unfortunately the screenshots that the OP shared contains sensitive information that shouldn’t appear in public forum. Could you please remove the above screenshots since staff have now seen them. TIA
