WordPress REST API
-
Hi!
We are hosting an online shop based on WordPress since about two years now. We upload our product pictures via FileZilla Pro and import our downloadable products (Pictures) then with a csv file. Customers got an encoded download link directly after finishing the payments. This worked quite well since last week. (We didn’t change / update anything since then)
Now we have the problem, that these encoded download links do not work anymore. It just leads to the page ‘Not found. Back to the shop’. When we open the page settings for this product, the Link to the downloadable product is correct, everything else is also in place. It seems, like there is a problem with the website creating the download link for the customer.
We now updated all plugins and got the message from the system:
‘One or more WordPress plugins tried to call the WordPress REST API and failed. Most likely a security plugin or a web server configuration has disabled the REST API. Please make sure that the following REST API namespaces are accessible to be able to use the respective plugin without problems:
– real-media-library/v1 ‘
We assume that this could also link to our problem generating the customer links.
We would be glad to get help with this problem.
Best regards,
Nina

Hello Nina!
Thank you for posting your question. Yet I just wanted to note that this forum is for sites hosted at WordPress.com specifically.
Your site is hosted elsewhere https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/tierfotos-nuernberg.de but uses WordPress.org software.
Thus your next step is to post on WordPress.org specific forum https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Alternatively, I really encourage you to consider switching to WordPress.com as one of the fastest and most efficient managed hosting providers. Once your site is on our servers, we can assist you with specific questions.
However you decide to proceed, the advantages of hosting your site at WordPress.com are the built-in advanced security that includes immediate protection against threats, malware, brute force attacks but also firewalls, SSL, backups, and global edge cache.
I hope that helps!
