WordPress says my import was successful, but content is nowhere to be found
-
I imported content from a downloaded WordPress xml file (as per instructions). WordPress e-mailed me to say the import was done, but there is no content on my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you find your posts here?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts? If they are not there then sometimes the importer gets stuck. So in those cases we type modlook into the sidebar tags on the forum thread for Staff to reset it for us.

Thanks. It’s not clear to me what the dashboard is, but under My Site > Blog Posts, nothing is there, except the default ‘Hello World’ post. So I will take your suggestion re: modlook.

Thanks. I’ve tried it several times now, and again just now, using a different browser. The site I’m importing from is called federal23.wordpress.com

Just re-exported then imported again. Posts show up now (but not themes or links ). I guess I can work with the rest. Thanks.

Hi,
The export/import process only moves over posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags. Media items should be moved as well. However, Blogroll links and themes will not be moved.
