WordPress Search Bar Color Change & Blog Category Color Change

  On my blog here ( https://mauricekenny.com/blog/ ) I have a side column with a search bar and a blog category piece. For some reason the search bar button is blue and when hovered over it is highlighted to yellow. So how can that blue button be changed to be #1ED2D2 and then when someone hovers over it the highlighted change is to #444444 ?

  Also the category items below it when highlighted turn blue. Can this be changed also to #1ED2D2 ?

  The CSS I have seen has not worked for some reason

  Hey Maurice,

  Have you managed to sort this out? I’m asking this because I can see that the search button and the categories have now the color codes that you mentioned. Please let me know if there’s still anything you’d like to change about these two elements.
