wordpress search feature

    Hi,
I d like to know if there is any way to configure the default search functionality in my blog, so that I can indicate the number of post to display per page, and make it so that only the title of the post is displayed (or even better title of the post + teaser of sorts).

Also I would like to know if I can do some kind of advanced search (search inside a category or tag for example).

Can any of this be achieved with the default installation, or there is any plugin/widget I could install? Does wordpress.com allows the installation of such plugins?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The number of results that display from searches is always equal to the number of posts you’ve set the blog to display on the main page.

There is no advanced search function on WordPress.com.

You cannot add plugins to WordPress.com. I’m not aware of any search widget you can add to WP.com blogs.

Also note that “private” blogs are well private so the contents are not going to be available via search if the blog visisbility is set to keep search engines out of the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
