WordPress Security vs. Movable Type Security

So I was reading the Wiki articles on Movable Type and WordPress to see which platform to use.

I know that WordPress is much easier to use and it uses PHP instead of Perl, but within WordPress’ Wiki article, it talks about security vulnerabilities.

Now, I’m not expecting high traffic or someone to hack into my blog. What I’m wondering is: What are Movable Type’s security vulnerabilities? I heard Movable Type is more secure since it uses Perl. Is that true?

If you are taking about self-hosted, you’re in the wrong forum. For self-hosted wordpress, head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ (But shouldn’t you be asking that question in a Movable Type forum?)

WordPress.com security is really seriously impressive (and I used to get paid to blog about internet security). Independent WordPress’s security is different, and Vivian gave you the link for that.
