Are you trying to remove domain mapping to http://www.pro-football-tips.com from http://www.pro-football-tips.com ?

    Please clarify.

Although pro-football-tips.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.

We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Your name servers are as follows:

    NS2.123-REG.CO.UK
    NS.123-REG.CO.UK

If you have access to change the nameservers for this domain, please remove all nameservers not on the required list above.

Sorry. I made a mistake in the second URL above.

There is no such thing as a free domain mapping upgrade for mapping to an existing domain.

    re: mapping an existing domain
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible.

Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made, it and the domain mapping purchase here, each and every year.

Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually .

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL.

If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the WordPress.COM blog, and as you own a domain URL already, you can see here for mapping an existing domain. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

It can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

  • Hi @lordbaj — I can see you’ve mapped a domain. Do you still need help?

Thanks @timethief for notifying us of this thread. :)
