I’m dissatisfied with the decision to make selling content to AI opt in. I also want reassurances that none of my posts or content have been sold to AI learning machines- as you do not have permission to do so.

Hi there, I’m not staff, but I think I can help with this.
Recently there has been some misinformation going around. The article recently released by 404 Media and subsequently picked up by Gizmodo contains several false statements.
You can opt out by activating the “Prevent third-party sharing” feature at https://wordpress.com/settings/general/
This will exclude your site’s public content from WP’s network of partners.
Partners only get what WP sends them and WP does not send data from accounts that have opted out.
However, It may not be possible to block all AI scraping, but they try to prevent it as best they can.
Additionally, WP does not share any site data, only the prompt when you use AI features such as the AI Assistant Block. You can learn more about how WP uses these AI features in the AI guidelines here.
