There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or third party themes.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no other upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Yes it’s possible to hire a web host and set up a WordPress.ORG software install and then move your existing content into it. We do not have access to the database here at WordPress.COM. Here’s a summary of the steps you need to take to move your content.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/1. Hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and purchase a domain.
2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.
http://wordpress.org/themes/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/3. To move your content you need to create an XML export file of your content. It will not include the theme and widgets as they cannot be exported. Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ and import it into the install.
4. WordPress.com is the top level domain here and all blogs hosted by WordPress.com are on .wordpress.com sub-domains.
(a) Purchase a site redirect upgrade from wordpress.com
http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/(b) Or if you have domain mapping then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#change-name-servers-to-point-the-domain-outside-of-wordpress-com and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
5. Transfer subscribers. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/
6. Set your wordpress.com blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Alternatively you can purchase a Guided Transfer and Staff will do the move and set up for you http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Thank you I think I will do this, is it possible to keep my domain name? I have purchased this name for wordpress.com I do own it then?
-
Yes as you purchased this domain through wordpress.com http://twoworldsonelife.com/ and a domain mapping upgrade for it, then it’s yours and will remain yours provided you renew the upgrade every year.
The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for twoworldsonelife.com. twoworldsonelife.com is set as the primary domain for twoworldsonelifedotcom.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.
-
If you want to use the domain on another site like a WordPress.ORG install see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#change-name-servers-to-point-the-domain-outside-of-wordpress-com and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

OK Thank you, is there anywhere else wordpress.org explains how to set it up than this page, Im afraid Im not completely understand? file:///Users/jessicawiking/Downloads/wordpress/readme.html

I cannot help with any WordPress.ORG support issues.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.

Hi, this seemed very complicated. My site went over to wordpress.org I customised it and then suddenly it went over to .com. Is it possible to just delete the .com and then install .org on the same domain ?
