  hello:
  we have three sites with wordpress. The sites were managed by another firm. We have a back up of all three sites from WordPress. We would like to recreate the three sites using the same host (WordPress) with our own login, billing etc.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Are the three sites still up and running ?
  Are they hosted here on WordPress.com ?
  If both the above are Yes, you can ask the firm to transfer the sites to you.

  If the sites are taken down already, it will depend on what backup files you have.
  If they were created by the Export tool, you can find the import them under My Site ->Settings.

  You will however lose the media files since the Import process will try to import the media files from the original sites.

  If the files were not created by the Export tool, you will need help to look at the contents of the backup and how much they can recreate your sites from them.
