wordpress site admin, but not wordpress user?
-
OK. My boss (who is not good with computers, and I’m only adequate) had someone set him up a site powered by wordpress (we have determined that the domain was orginally purchased through a different system, I dont’ know which).
I have been having huge amounts of trouble- setting up e-mail, adding entry fields, etc. because I don’t have ‘upgrades’ ‘my account’ or ‘my blog’: I can log in directly on the site as the admin and update pages and themes, but if I use that username to log into wordpress.com, it says it doesn’t exist. And there are no other ‘users’ listed as being admins for the site. So I’m pretty sure there is no ‘network admin’ name that I just don’t know about.
I’ve made pages, and right now it is functioning fine, but going ahead, I need these tools to do what he wants.
Does the person who set it up originally need to ‘point’ the servers at wordpress? Was the domain not mapped properly? What would cause this? How can it be fixed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am in way over my head!
