  First let’s be sure that you have a wordpress.com blog. What is the url for your blog please?
  Second, there are many servers for wordpress.com and I have been blogging on two accounts today without difficulty.
  Third, did you receive a “goshdarnit” error message or an error message of any kind?

  What I believe to be your site comes up fine for me.

  it would help if you told us what issue you were having and why you think it’s down instead of making us guess.

  i had some problems earlier today accessing my blog and the main wordpress.com site. it looked like this was on their side as all other URLs loaded smoorhtly, but this only lasted 5 minutes or so.

  What was the error message you got? Different ones will pinpoint different kinds of errors.
