WordPress site down

    The WordPress site is down I am getting the error message that says there is a critical error. The admin who set up the site is someone who hasn’t worked at this organization for years so we do not have access to the email that it is sending the recovery information to.

    I’m not having any trouble accessing https://lovensstopdemolitions.wordpress.com/ so I’m wondering if it is a different site you are having trouble with.

    I’m not seeing any record of that domain or your site ever being registered or hosted here at WordPress.com.

    Could you have built a site with the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org and hosted it elsewhere?

    You may have used WordPress.com to access your site in the past, many people do. But if you are having trouble with it, you will need to talk to your domain registrar and/or host’s support team. We here at WordPress.com have no access to sites that are not hosted on our servers.

    Thanks for that! We are unable to help because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re unable to access your site’s backend to take a closer look. But I can get you pointed in the right direction.

    The good news is that because your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

    The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.
