WordPress Site downloads file when accessing, site doesn’t load

    I changed a general setting on my wordpress site to exclude the /wp part of the URL. When doing so, I am now unable to access my site and my browser just automatically downloads what looks to be a php file. Is there any way to rollback the settings change?

    What is your site’s address, please?

    It sounds like you’re using the open source WordPress software, and did not follow the address change process outlined in the documentation for that software, here:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

    You can try using that info to fix this yourself, else you will likely need to contact support at your hosting provider so they can help you fix this via your hosting control panel with them.
