WordPress Site Editing issue

  Hi,

  my live site looks significantly different than my edit site. I need to make changes but the edit site does not look remotely like the live site and none of the options are there to edit my site. My live site is great so I just need to make minor edits but it is not the same at all so I am unsure of what to do.
