  I am having my site designed professionally and he says I need WordPress software installed. How and where is that?

  Hi @dmrasey67,

  WordPress is a publishing platform that makes it easy for anyone to publish online, and proudly powers millions of websites.

  WordPress comes in three flavors:

  1. Fully hosted with WordPress.com
  2. WordPress.com with an upgraded plan, like our Business Plan that allows a lot of self-hosted functionality, like plugins and custom themes
  3. the self-hosted version, whose software is available for free at WordPress.org. This requires purchasing hosting with another provider, such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. and installing WordPress software on it.

  Can you check my account to make sure my site designer can use it? He said they need me to get WordPress software, but I am hosting through you guys and buy my domain from you also. What am I doing wrong, he said he needs my dashboard access. Yet, I don’t see a dashboard button. Thanks, D.M. Rasey

  I am sorry as a volunteer I won’t have access to your account. If you are hosting through WordPress.com, then the software is already preinstalled.

  Which WordPress.com plan are you currently subscribed to? Also, what is the link to your website?

  Please provide the details I asked above so they can provide you with the right information.

  We recommend following the instructions on your other open topic @themagicrobot points to above.

  We need to first help you regain access to the account where you purchased the upgrades before taking this further.

  Once you have regained access, we can then help you create access for your designer so they can get to work on your site.

  HI, I am unsure how to get back into my site. I was sent an email at (email visible only to moderators and staff). I found it this morning and it was for confirming my domain link. But when I clicked on it nothing happens, it sends it couldn’t resend it. My site is kandmliterarymanagement.com.
