WordPress Stats
-
Please can you help me understand my WordPress stats as there’s something I don’t quite understand. It’s to do with Views, Visitors, Referrers and Authors.
I guess the ‘Views’ is a record of the number of pages viewed in a 24 hour period and the ‘Visitors’ is the number of individual people who visit the site? What are ‘Referrers’ & ‘Authors’? Today my blog stats show the following:
Visitors: 10Under Referrer’s, I have Facebook: 1 and WordPress Android App:1
Under Author’s, I have Author: Orinocho 21 and Blank: 7Does ‘Author: Orinocho’ mean 21 individual visits as well? I’m confused!
Many thanks

I never bother with the “author” stats as I don’t find them very accurate. The numbers displayed should really match the “views” as they are one and the same thing. “author” stats are really only of any use when a site has multiple authors posting.

The “Author” part tells you how many views were to posts made by that particular author.
