WordPress stats and web bug blocker

  I’m a blog stat freak (love ’em!), but also a privacy freak. I recently learned about web bugs and added the “Ghostery” add-on to my Firefox browser to block them. Is this going to interfere with my WordPress stats? What happens to those stats if a visitor is using Ghostery?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Unfortunately, the volunteers in the forum can’t give you much guidance. You’ll have to wait till staff reply to get an answer definitively.

  You could try visiting your site when logged out and watch your stats – visit an old Post or something that should not have any other traffic and see if that Post shows clicks or traffic.

  @auxclass — Tried that, and it seemed to count the hit. So maybe that tells me Ghostery does not interfere with anything.

  Perhaps the better question is how does my use of Ghostery affect the stats gathered when I visit someone else’s WP blog?
