WordPress Stats not differentiating posts
-
Starting sometime over the weekend any new post is being counted as “#2147483647 (loading title).” Meaning I can’t tell which post is getting traffic because they are all being lumped into that designation.
How do I fix this?

The WordPress.com Stats plugin isn’t supported anymore. Please replace it with the Jetpack plugin as it includes the WordPress.com Site Stats.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am using the Jetpack plugin. I might have started with the stats before Jetpack but jetpack linked me to them.

Hi, Randy. Your site is using post_id numbers larger than our system was designed to handle. For example, your post at the URL /obama-marriage/ reports having an ID of 2193463002. When we try to insert out-of-range IDs into our database they get truncated to 2147483647.
After discussing this internally we are not going to be changing the system to handle those larger numbers right away.
Do you know why your post_ids are so large?
-
No… I don’t know what they are so large…. can I get them renumbered? The only thing I can think of is the current blog has several imports (from various blogs) that have come in.)
Oh gosh. I hope there is another way to renumber the posts.
-
This is really kind of distressing to me :)… not in a need a therapist way but … I don’t like that my post id’s are screwed up. If I were to import into wordpress.com … would that reset them?

Sorry for the delay!
It looks like your post IDs are much smaller now, so they should be working.
Are you still having trouble?
-
I restarted my whole blog and moved it from self-hosted to wordpress.com after I couldn’t find a way to get the post numbers to reset or be renumbered. It was a pain but … I like the new setup. :)
