WordPress Stats Plugin Smiley in Footer
-
When are the developers of WordPress Stats going to modify the plugin so that it doesn’t insert that annoying little smiley in the layout of the website? It’s seems like everybody doesn’t like that “feature”. They are forced to search for solutions to remove it by modifying the style sheets of their websites after installing WP Stats. Surely there must be a better method of tracking that doesn’t involve the modification of the layout or at least render that Smiley as hidden by default.
For one of my websites I have been entirely unable to remove the smiley with any CSS modification or plugins. If I can’t get rid of it I am going to have to remove WP Stats from this website and possibly consider discontinuing my use of WP Stats altogether since this is a recurring problem when themes get updated. Clients certainly don’t want it on their website beacuse it is very tacky to have the Smiley in the Footer. I think removing this feature would greatly improve the user experience for the users of WP Stats. Just a thought.

The smiley is actually essential for some of the stats tracking that we do.
