WordPress tells me they “Ran into trouble importing my subscribers”

    I attempted to add 2 subscribers to my very modest blog and WordPress sent em an email:

    “We ran into a problem importing your subscribers.

    Hi ghytravelblogs, Drop our support team a line and we’ll help you get this resolved as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you might want to take a look at our support page for some extra help

    Manage subscribers“

    I raised a query with “Support” and was presneted with 3 auto generated responses;

    1. There could be a problem with my CSV input. I manually added 2 new subscribers – no CSV involved
    2. I could have exceed the 100 subscriber limit for the free application – there are only 71 subscribers
    3. I can no longer see the wording of the third point but it was basically fins an answer in the help/support pages – but a bit hard when they don’t tell me what the problem was that they ran into

    Can anyone shed any light on this issue? I am a light user of the blog, activating it before we travel, maybe once a year, but I have never had this problem before.
