Hi my hosting is currently with Hostinger.co.uk and they use wordpress for my website. I have tried to use the theme baskerville 2 which I am able to use for free on wordpress but it isn’t available from my hosting. Is there a reason why?

The WordPress software you’re using at Hostinger doesn’t come with any themes included, aside from the default Twenty Twenty theme. Themes are add-ons that you need to install separately.
It works differently here on WordPress.com, as we’re a managed host, meaning we manage the WordPress software for sites on our servers, and we pre-install all our own themes over here so people can just switch between them whenever they want.
To use Baskerville on your self-hosted WordPress site you have two options:
1) At the bottom of the theme page at https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2 you’ll find a link you can use to download that theme. You can then manually install it under Appearance ->Themes ->Add New in the WP-Admin dashboard for your site.
2) You can install the Jetpack plugin on your site, and use that to connect your site to WordPress.com. Then you can activate the theme from My Site ->Design ->Themes here on WordPress.com, which will let us handle installing and activating the theme for you.
