WordPress theme
-
Hello, I started using wordpress.com to create my website. After choosing the theme ‘espied’ I realized in desktop version, the side bar menu doesn’t display the same way in my website as it does in the demo. To be more precise, on my website it doesn’t show 3 lines which gives the impression that theres a menu to click.

On closer inspection I think the problem is theres a white box saying to create a wordpress, covering the top of the nav bar, is there any way to make that white box go?

Hi there,
Normally this “marketing bar” would not obscure the theme, so in this case I have added some custom CSS code to your site to move the sidebar con down so it is visible.
You can see the code I added here (under the CSS tab) https://wordpress.com/customize/somnoro.wordpress.com
is there any way to make that white box go?
The only way to remove the white box (we show on our free sites) is to upgrade to WordPress.com paid plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
This will remove the banner at the top of your site, as well as advertising we show on pages and blog posts (to help us afford to keep free sites online)
Hope this helps!
