WordPress theme has broken my site. Cannot click or interact

  I was using the Megatheme on my blog that I just got set up. I was also using widgets to put some Adsense on the site. However, I made a change and when I viewed the site, it loads, then it grays itself out. You cannot click on anything. I tried changing the theme. Some themes (the majority of the cool ones I like) had the same problem. A couple themes did not, but I don’t like them. Uninstalling the offending theme and reinstalling it did not help. This leads me to believe that it is something at the “kernel” level. But I do not have enough experience with WP to mess around with it.
