wordpress theme not available? (CSS package)
-
Hi everyone!
Bit of a silly question, but is it possible to get a certain theme for my blog with the CSS package? I’ve been using WordPress local on my machine and used a certain theme for it. Now I want to go online with it and thought the best way would be to get a wordpress.com account along with the CSS package. But it turned out that the theme I wanted isn’t available on wordpress.com. Will I be able to use on my VIP account by adjusting it with the CSS package. It probably will be a bit of a pain tweaking it, since most of the files are php files, and there’s only this one CSS file that came with it.
What can I do to have the same wordpress blog, that I’ve used offline on my local machine, other than installing wordpress on a proper server?
Thanks for your help and apologies if this is a rubbish question!

The simplest method (and possibly the only one that will work) is to install wordpress on a proper server. The CSS upgrade here only allows you to change the appearance of existing themes, not the functionality. And you really do have to know what you’re doing with the CSS as there’s no staff support for it and very few volunteers who know what they’re doing.
Much, much easier to install WP.org software and carry on with the theme you’re already using.
