WordPress toolbar not showing
-
The WordPress toolbar (or whatever it’s called) does not show up for me when I am logged into my blog in Firefox. This is the bar that includes links to ‘My Site’ and ‘Reader’ on the upper left and my profile pic at the upper right. It is convenient because I can go to my blog page, see how it looks, etc., then click ‘My Site’ to add or edit a new post, etc. But none of those links are there for me in Firefox anymore. The odd thing is that they were there before I upgraded to premium (sidenote: I prefer the non-premium page for new posts), but when I upgraded to premium, that toolbar is gone in Firefox. However, at work I use a Chromebook and I can see that toolbar. I have tried clearing cookies/cache in Firefox to no avail.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am using Firefox, the latest version, 42. I have cleared the cache; cookies are already allowed, as is javascript and https. I don’t know what else to try. As I mentioned, before I upgraded to premium, I could see the toolbar and now I can’t. I can also see it on my Chromebook, where of course, I have to use Chrome. I do not have any other browsers on my PC and do not want to install another one just for this issue. It is a rather annoying problem, because as I mentioned, I cannot simply go to my blog and add a post or see if there are comments. I have to go to wordpress.com and then that toolbar is visible at the top.

Hi there,
I can see the admin bar on your site, so this isn’t an issue with your site. I also use Firefox. I have also confirmed that the problem is not with your account.
Upgrading to Premium cannot cause this, except perhaps if the cookie for your custom domain is not being set correctly. Do you have this problem only on your site, or on other WordPress.com sites as well?
Please try opening an incognito window and log into your account. Do you see the admin bar on your site then? If so, it’s definitely a cookie issue. Try clearing your cookies again. Select the option to delete specific cookies so you can delete them manually and make sure they are properly deleted.
Next, can you please try starting Firefox in Safe Mode and see if that helps? If you can see the admin bar while logged in in Safe Mode, it might be a browser extension that’s causing the problem. Back in regular mode, try disabling all extensions and add them back one at a time, checking your site inbetween to find out which one is causing this.
Finally, you can also try to refresh Firefox completely. This will remove your bookmarks and extensions and save them in a folder on your computer so you can restore them after the browser has refreshed. You can find Mozilla’s instructions on that here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings
