wordpress twenty seventeen looks different on mobile

  Hi
  Finally, I have worked out my website, but when I view it on my mobile it looks rubbish!
  So, the theme I am using is Twenty Seventeen – Please forgive my total lack of knowledge and understanding with what comes next!!! I have looked on some forums and seen that the theme (i believe) supports mobile, I then found another website that recommended doing a Mobile Friendly Test on the website. I did this, the website came back with Text too small to read and Viewport not set.
  Now, this means nothing to me, and I have scoured the internet for the last hour to try and find a simple way to understand and fix it – i can’t find anything that is not complicated
  Please, can someone explain to a thick person how I get my phone looking the same as my desktop?
