WordPress update failed, site broken

    Hi, I tried to update our website with the one-click update button but it hasn’t worked and now the site is inaccessible. At first I got a message about ‘scheduled maintenance, check back in a minute’ but now it’s saying there’s a ‘HTTP ERROR 500’ and I can’t log into the dashboard either. Please can you tell me what to do to get it working again?

    Apparently it might not be wordpress hosted, but I can’t figure out who does host it – we are a voluntary organisation and whoever set up the website has long since moved on.

    So, I found out eventually that it’s hosted by Godaddy and managed to restore yesterday’s backup successfully. I’m going to try and find a professional to help us out from this point on :grin:
