WordPress URL expiration

a name that I want is listed online (when I go to desiredname.wordpress.com) as having been deleted by the authors but the wordpress blog naming page says it’s reserved. Can I have the site?

Hi there. If the Register a New Blog interface says a blog URL is reserved, it either means that URL has been deleted, in which case it’s gone forever, or it means someone has registered a specific username and the URL matching that username is being held for them. In either case you won’t be able to register that URL and will need to pick another one.
